ABOUT FOUNDATION
What we do
Our charity and support foundation is successfully running its activity since September 18, 2012.
Six years ago the foundation was established and until now was known as “Aleksandr Gridin charity foundation”. In year 2019 after changing its name and taking over all the social support programs started by the founder, charity and support foundation “Flame of hope” (Vilties liepsna) successfully continues to develop the principles of mutual understanding, support and cooperation in our society.
Our main activities are:
- children’s health, social support, children and young people involvement in different social activities as well as educational programs;
- support of the elderly people communities;
- cooperation with special schools.
We think that the best way to know us is to take a look at the work we have done; thus, if you want to learn more about our foundation, let us introduce you our already implemented projects.

“We started our activity with a lot of excitement, plans and positive thoughts. We really accomplished a lot. We were always trying to do everything sincerely, putting all our hearts into the work. We were gathering the information, analyzing, we learned a lot…..Charity is not an easy kind of activity – it is often about difficult moments, hard decisions, emotions, even interests involved. After the few years of intensive work, we can summarize the results, draw some conclusions, plan our future better. Today we see our activity and possibilities more clearly, what we can do and how we can do.
We are inspired by the support – when people like our ideas, join our projects and social campaigns, provide financial support. When you see that your help is real and necessary. Sometimes I think that it is possible to help everyone who needs help, if all the people who can help would react.
We want to strengthen the hope….The hope to be healthy is always in the hearts of little patients, the hope is always in their parents hearts, the hope for the better future never leaves the hearts of elderly people.. Until we have a hope inside, we believe.”
