Support for Vilius

Eight-year-old Vilius is one of many children participating in our “Breathe of Hope” project, who has received help more than once. The boy has been suffering from congenital X-chromosome centronuclear myopathy since birth, has a severe disability and needs the highest level of nursing. This year, the boy’s parents asked for help in acquiring a mucus aspirator, as they have been renting one so far, and it is very inconvenient and not adapted for Vilius to move around. The boy moves in an electric wheelchair and because of the tracheostomy, he has to be suctioned very often, every 5-15 minutes. After receiving a financial support from one company, we allocated it to Vilius. The boy’s mother immediately arranged the so much needed device and according to her, Vilius was so curious to try it out, not to pose. The whole family sends their warmest regards and we wish Vilius to grow up and get stronger.
